Joyce Thom

Joyce has been studying acupressure, meditation, and energy cultivation since she began training in martial arts in 1979. Since 1986, she has focused on the healing aspects of these ancient practices through her ongoing studies of acupressure, qigong, yoga, and various forms of energy and body work. She received her Masters of Medical QiGong from the International Institute of Medical QiGong and holds advanced certification in Traditional Asian Therapies from the Acupressure Institute where she is currently a faculty member.

Joyce began her cranial sacral training at the Heartwood and Upledger Institutes and soon felt drawn to the visionary approach taught at the Milne Institute. She enjoys sharing this subtle and transformative modality and incorporates the visionary approach into all of her sessions. In her private practice, she facilitates movement toward greater peace, awareness, transformation, and health through Visionary Craniosacral Work®, Tui Na, Medical QiGong, and Yoga Therapy. She enjoys teaching classes in consciousness studies, integrated movement, acupressure, and cranial sacral therapy. Her clear and caring teaching style facilitates and provides a supportive environment for students to absorb, integrate, and apply the material easily and in their own way.

Joyce has a B.A. summa cum laude from Yale and an M.P.A. in Public and International Affairs from Princeton.
