Frances Carrington

Frances has been practicing craniosacral work since 2011. She began teaching the work in 2025, and is known for her deeply intuitive presence, a finely tuned sense of touch, and her solid grounding in anatomy and physiology.

Before becoming a therapist and teacher, Frances spent 18 years in Dharamsala, India, where she volunteered to help Tibetan refugees, raised two children, founded a fair-trade clothing company to support local artisans, and immersed herself in Buddhist teachings, meditation, and trekking in the Himalaya.

Frances’ journey into healing work began after the birth of her daughter, Imogen in 2003. Following a difficult delivery and persistent back and hip pain, it was craniosacral work that finally brought relief and release. This profound experience inspired her to study the work herself. Beginning in 2011, she trained in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy with Rosemary Wallace in Thailand, and later deepened her studies with further training in  Visionary Craniosacral Work® at the Milne Institute (where she now also works as a Supervisor), in  Chi Nei Tsang, as well as graduating in osteopathy at the National University of Medical Sciences. Frances also completed a shamanic training at the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, and immersed herself in exploring expanded states of consciousness at the Monroe Institute.

Since 2015, Frances has had a Visionary Craniosacral Work® practice in Chiang Mai, Thailand, where she lives there with her partner, Rory. Frances continues to expand her understanding of the subtle body by regularly assisting Hugh Milne, and deepening her own spiritual and professional practices.

Focus and gentleness are the foundations of healing.
