Visionary Craniosacral Work Classes:
Eligibility, Sequence and Curriculum
This class series is open to those who have completed
a minimum 500-hour massage certification program or similar coursework
that provides an understanding of anatomy and physiology, in addition
to refined touch. Other health professionals with a background
in sensitive touch are also welcomed.
There are seven four-day classes in the cranial
series. Cranial 1 is the prerequisite for all further classes. Because
Milne Institute Inc. training is distinctly different in focus and
emphasis from other craniosacral trainings, exception from this prerequisite
cannot be granted.
Milne Institute Inc. offers a "twin-track" curriculum:
one leading to Milne Institute certification, and another "experiential" track
for students not seeking professional designation. Please note that
levels Cranial 1, 2,3 and 4 are open to all qualified students; and
levels Cranial 5, 6 and 7 may be taken only by students on the certification track.
The Review Days are required for the Certification Program. There is one Review Day for each of the first seven 4-day classes, C1 thru C7.
Visionary Craniosacral Work Circles, or 'Vision Circles' are optional class days designed to support the student's ongoing process of learning and practicing the work.
Class Cranial 8, 9 and 10 are post-graduate classes. They are available for graduates of the MII Certification Track training, or graduates of other recognized craniosacral trainings.
The ancillary classes Visionary Anatomy, Beyond the Stillpoint, Embyology, Pediatrics I and II, Visceral Manipulation and the Tuscany Summer Intensive are designed to support the core training, and deepen the student's 'toolbag.' You will find registration information about these classes in the individual class descriptions.
Hugh Milne's book, The Heart of Listening: A Visionary
Approach to Craniosacral Work, a culmination of many years of personal
listening, touching and teaching, is required reading for all classes.
