Visionary Anatomy
Why study anatomy? "To see a thing is to really love it." Craniosacral work is about seeing and loving as much as anything I know. I invite you on a journey of loving exploration into the miracle of the body as seen through the eyes of Visionary Craniosacral Work.
The Visionary Anatomy class is designed to allow enough time and repetition of information to give it a chance to sink in. It is offered through a variety of modalities to address different learning styles and give a sense of the "big picture."
We weave power point, demonstration with real bone models, discussion and art "play" with practical exercises designed to get the information "into your hands."
There is lots of space for questions and exploration and each class may be slightly different based on the mix of students and what each one brings to the class.
We focus on an overview of the major bones and muscles of the craniosacral system, origins and classifications, sutures, energetics, the membrane system, the formation and circulation of CSF, basics of the CNS and cranial nerves, and a brief introduction to embryology. Time permitting, we'll even work with getting those troublesome motion models figured out!
The class is more about facilitating or deepening your ability to perceive what you are touching rather than a focus on pathology or physiology.
For a new student, or one that is feeling a bit challenged, this then allows you to be able to devote more attention to learning the techniques and other information being delivered during the regular four day classes.
*This class gives you one professional
session and two student exchange credits and 24 CE hours through NCBTMB* |
